I practice CranioSacral Therapy, Zero Balancing and Reiki: these are gentle, clothed, hands-on healing modalities.

"The CranioSacral System is a functioning physiological system composed of cerebrospinal fluid, the membranes that contain it, its osseous attachments, and the mechanisms that produce and reabsorb the cerebrospinal fluid. It has a powerful influence of the nervous, endocrine and immune systems, and a total body effect. It is also characterized by a palpable, rhythmic, mobile activity that persists throughout life." - Dr. John E. Upldedger, Developer of CranioSacral Therapy

I practice CranioSacral Therapy, Zero Balancing Massage and Reiki. My typical session is one hour long and incorporates at least the first two of these healing modalities. I create the session around the client's individual needs.

I usually work at my home office, located at 976 Steam Mill Rd, Ithaca NY 14850 (8 miles South of Ithaca). I also work out of a massage office in downtown Ithaca, if that is preferable to a client. I do home visits for newborns, and can arrange to do home visits for other clients if there is a need.

I am proud to work with Gently Borne Midwifery, working on their mother and newborn clients.

My own healing journey with CranioSacral Therapy and is what inspired me to become a healing bodywork practitioner.

I studied CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute from 2010-2015. With the Upledger Institute I learned the CranioSacral principles and practices as well as Somato-Emotional Release, CST for Conception, Pregnancy and Birthing, and CST for Pediatrics.

I studied Massage at the Finger Lakes School of Massage, which gave me the license to touch so I can do CranioSacral Therapy and Zero Balancing massage.

Most recently I studied Zero Balancing with the founder of the modality, the wonderful Mr. Fritz Smith, MD. It's a form of clothed massage that uses finger pressure and gentle traction on areas on tension in the bones, joints and soft tissue to create fulcrums, or points of balance, around which the body can relax and reorganize. Zero Balancing focuses primarily on key joints of the skeleton that conduct and balance forces of gravity, posture and movement. By addressing the deepest and densest tissues of the body along with soft tissue and energy fields, Zero Balancing helps clear blocks in the body's energy flow, amplify vitality and contribute to better postural alignment. A Zero Balancing session leaves the receiver with a wonderful feeling of inner harmony and organization. I'm excited to have found this great type of massage that works well in a combined session with CST.
